Victoria Road offers an excellent selection of dentistry services including fillings, crowns, veneers and tooth whitening. Our aim is to provide a comprehensive service of examination and diagnosis to help our patients prevent future oral health problems or deal with existing ones.

Our family friendly service will begin with a thorough examination using the latest in dental technology. Once this is complete we will give advice as to which course of treatment is needed. If you require additional treatment then we will undertake the necessary course of action. We are also on hand as an emergency dentist should you have an urgent problem. Our service includes:

Fillings

Fillings are used to fill holes (cavities) that have formed, usually as a result of decay or tooth wear. There are many types of filling, each suitable for different cavities. Most people have a local anaesthetic injection to completely numb the area while the filling is being done.

Crowns

If a tooth has been broken, or weakened by a lot of decay or a large filling, a crown (or cap) can be fitted to strengthen it. Crowns are shaped like natural teeth, for teeth near the front of the mouth, crowns are usually made of porcelain-like materials. Crowns on back teeth may be made of porcelain or gold, or a combination of both.

Veneers

Dental veneers have long been used to create the ultimate smile makeover, with this treatment it is possible to transform crooked, stained, damaged and badly worn teeth into a brand new straight white smile.

Root Fillings

Teeth have a core of blood vessels and nerves at their centre, in a space called the root canal. Very deep decay or injury to a tooth can destroy this living tissue. A "dead" tooth is prone to infection. The root canal needs to be cleaned out thoroughly before a filling or crown can be placed.

Extractions

Tooth extraction may be necessary is you experience severe caries, your teeth are loosened by parondontal disease or a tooth is broken and cannot be saved. An extraction at our dental clinic will be done smoothly and quickly.

Bridgework

A bridge is relatively quick to prepare and fit, and it lasts a long time, which makes it excellent value for money. Unlike a denture, a bridge is secure in function and gives increased confidence in day to day use.

Dentures

Dentures are removal replacements for your teeth that are designed to look and function like your own natural teeth and surrounding gum tissues. Modern day dentures can look very realistic and natural and feel comfortable.
